Aus Linum nördlich von Berlin wurde Berlin früher mit Torf als Heizmaterial versorgt. Heute dienen die vollgelaufenen Torfstiche der Fischzucht und Störchen und Kranichen als Sammlungsort für den Zug nach Süden.
