Die entweihte Nikolaikirche Torgau. Der Kurfürst Friedrich der Weise gewährte dem Reformator Martin Luther Unterschlupf auf der Wartburg-Stiftung Eisenach woraufhin sich die Stadt zum politischen Zentrum der Reformation entwickelte. Sie wird daher auch Amme der Reformation genannt. In der Nikolaikirche wurden die erste deutschsprachige Taufe sowie die erste deutschsprachige Predigt abgehalten. Die Kirche befindet sich im Hinterhof vom Rathaus Torgau. The profaned Nikolai church in Torgau. The first german speaking christening and the first german speaking preaching took place in the Nikolai church. It is situated in the backyard of the townhall.
