Die evangelische ehemalige " Neue Kirche " wurde um 1680 auf den Fundamentresten der 1581 abgebrannten St.-Bonifatius-Kirche als barocker Saalbau errichtet und 1935 in Bachkirche umbenannt, nachdem Johann Sebastian Bach hier um 1700 seine erste Organistenstelle innehatte. Vor der Kirche befindet sich der um 1570 entstandene achteckige Hopfenbrunnen mit lebensgroßer Figur eines gewappneten Ritters, hinter der Kirche der 1708 errichtete Neumarktbrunnen, den eine Nereide als Brunnenfigur ziert. Evangelical church formerly called " Neue Kirche " was built around 1680 as baroque roofed hall on residual foundation of 1581 burnt down St.-Bonifatius-Church. After musician and composer Johann Sebastian Bach had his first organist position here around 1700, the church is called Bachkirche since 1935. In front of Bachkirche stands 1570 constructed octagonal fountain Hopfenbrunnen with life-sized figure of a steeled chevalier, behind the church fountain Neumarktbrunnen is located, adorned with a Nereid.
