The Pfaueninsel Palace (peacock island) in the Wannsee part of the district of Steglitz - Zehlendorf in Berlin in the state of Brandenburg. The palace is located on the shore of the river Havel. It was built in the 18th century as a pleasure palace. It was designed in a romantic ruin architecture style and is surrounded by park like landscape on the river.
