The St. Nicholas Church is an evangelical church in the Old Market in Potsdam. The building in classical style was designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel in 1830 to 1837. The drum dome was built in the period from 1843 to 1850. The construction management took over in 1845 Friedrich Ludwig Persius and August Stiller. Badly damaged towards the end of the Second World War, the St. Nicholas Church consecrated again in 1981 and has since been open to visitors daily
